True Crime Narrative
Commissioned by Mediareport Canarias for the documentary Subitus, we developed the comprehensive infographic package centering on the medical and genetic history of the MacÃas family. Following a year of close collaboration, we transformed complex clinical data, family trees, and maps into an accessible and highly dramatic visual narrative.
Pedagogical Synthesis& Atmospheric Tension
The art direction bridged educational design with procedural mystery through three strategic pillars:
· 1950s Educational Aesthetics: A flat 2D graphic language inspired by mid-century instructional design. This formal synthesis grants technical clarity to make complex genealogical trees and medical tests highly digestible.
· True Crime Atmosphere: We injected a tone of suspense and tension rooted in investigative documentaries, leveraging lighting and textures to immerse the viewer into a continuous environment of discovery.
· Graphic Synthesis: Driven by bold color blocks and heavy editorial sans-serif typography. The motion design system reframes the islands’ iconography away from conventional tourism tropes, ensuring a sophisticated institutional package. The outcome demonstrates long-term brand consistency, proving how motion design infuses a high-level cultural campaign with distinct artistic value.
